First off, not all comic books become valuable. You have to remember though that no matter how old the comic book is, it doesn’t necessarily equate to a high value. It is widely known that even though you have a first edition, if its not a good condition, its not going to demand a high price from collectors such as yourself. Making sure that your comic books are in a suitable storage place is very necessary. You should provide them a good storage area wherein they won’t be exposed to damaging elements such as water, dust and other corroding factors. This is essential to keep your comics in mint condition, and ensure they remain as valuable as possible.

But, if you are a serious collector and don’t have any intentions of selling your collection no matter how much its value is, you still shouldn’t undermine the need for a good storage. Comic books can be great conversational pieces and most especially if they have history and a high degree of importance.

To help you determine the value of your comic book collection, you may be able to get some help from comic book software, some of which includes a complete library of all the valuable comic books released and their corresponding value.
